This is the number one grip safety in the world. More shooters specify the Ed Brown Beavertail than all others combined. This part fits on a Colt Auto frame with only a small amount of fitting. Uses a .250 radius cut on the frame centered on the thumb safety pin hole. Sweeps so high on the gun it is countersunk so a Commander-styled hammer will drop into it. Allows the gun to sit lower in the hand than any other design for more natural pointing ability and lessened recoil due to the bore's centerline being closer to the axis of the forearm. This grip safety has Memory Grooves machined into a raised pad on the rear for positive depression of the part. With normal use, your hand becomes accustomed to the feel of the grooves, and will remember where the perfect grip is for consistent shooting.
