Wilson Combat Full Length Guide
Rods
| The full length guide rod provides linear
recoil spring alignment assuring that your pistol will go into battery with the same force
every time. This is the key to maximum reliability and often leads to improved accuracy.
All Wilson CombatTM guide rods are precision machined and centerless ground
from 416 stainless steel and heat treated for maximum toughness with the exception of #365
and #419 which have a tungsten rod. |

#25 Series Guide Rod
"One Piece"
The One Piece Full Length Guide Rod replaces your stock recoil guide without pistol
modification. Assembly and disassembly are the same as with stock components (however a
bushing wrench is required). |
| Some shooters are in the habit of
moving the slide back slightly to remove the barrel bushing, this is not possible with a
one piece guide rod.
|
#25R Series Full Length
Guide Rod & Reverse Plug (Stainless Steel)
The Guide Rod & Reverse Plug are designed to be used with heavy taper cone barrels
where the barrel bushing has been eliminated. |
 |
| For quick field stripping, the
guide rod has been drilled and a staking pin provided for pinning back the plug. Minor
slide modification required for installation.

#25CO Series Guide Rod
"Officers Model"
There probably isn't a pistol that benefits more from a Full Length Guide Rod
conversion than the Officers Model. First of all, you receive the typical reliability and
accuracy improvements which are inherent with a two piece full length guide rod. |
| Then we replace the failure prone
stock plug with a highly reliable reverse plug and a single 24# spring. The result is a
drastic improvement in performance that will surely be noticed the first time you fire
your pistol. This kit will work with the Colt Officers Model or Para Ordnance P12, however
both require a slight modification to the slide for installation (instructions included).
The limited space in an Officers Model or P12 pistol causes extreme stress to be exerted
on the recoil spring. For this reason, we recommend that SHOK-BUFF® Buffers
should not be used in these pistols and the recoil spring should be replaced approximately
every 300 rds.
|
#148 Guide Rod "Two Piece"
Many shooters prefer a Two-Piece Guide Rod for its ease of disassembly and reassembly.
Once you remove the front half of the rod with the provided allen wrench, disassembly is
identical to that of stock components.

#25USC Springfield Ultra Compact Guide
Rod & Plug
#25RS24 Replacement Recoil Spring for #25USC
This two piece Guide rod for the Springfield Armory Ultra Compact is designed to be used
with your stock recoil plug. Not only do you get the benefits of the full length stainless
steel guide rod, but you no longer have a plug with an empty hole showing. Also included
is a heavy duty 24lb. recoil spring and the allen wrench for take down.

#365 Series Heavy Weight
Tungsten Full Length Guide Rod & Collar (Plug)
Our Heavy Weight Guide Rod reduces muzzle flip by adding five ounces to your pistol
where it will do the most good, low and toward the muzzle. |
| This part is a must for USPSA
"Limited Class" shooters or anyone requiring quick follow up shots with a five
inch 1911 Auto. Minor pistolsmithing required for installation, however stock or other
full length guide rods can be reinstalled after modification. Not compatible with
SHOK-BUFF® buffers. |
#419 Medium Weight Tungsten Full Length
Guide Rod & Plug
The Medium Weight (3.25 ounces) Guide Rod provides a great compromise between gun
balance and shot recovery time. |
 |
| Since the medium weight rod is
built to the same dimensional specifications as our one piece steel rods, you can use
Standard #10G series recoil springs and Shok-Buffs® (see page 30 to 32). This
is a drop-in part and fits Government/Gold Cup Models.
