Although, after 17 years the original product has an enviable reputation for unequalled feeding reliability, we have learned how to make them even better. Now we’ve made the best even better with the following improvements: More direct line feeding into the chamber and improved feed lip design to allow more versatility in your choice of ammunition and improve functioning in marginal spec pistols. Springs are specially fabricated from the highest tensile strength heavy duty spring wire for enhanced feeding and slide stop operation. This special wire also reduces ‘spring set’ for the longest service life possible. We’ve also made them easier to fully seat into the magazine well. Of course we’ve continued to use .027” (the thickest in the industry) aircraft grade certified 17-7 PH stainless steel and heat treat them for maximum durability and service life. As before the dimensional tolerances are held so close that you will never encounter a Wilson mag that doesn’t drop free from your pistol or that your rounds are tight inside the tube as long as your pistol and ammo are close to proper spec. We’ve beefed up the ‘stop’ on the front of our 10rd mags to eliminate breakage and the new version seems to feed any bullet style you put in it 100%. As an added bonus we’ve been able to maintain our ‘97 prices on the entire line of premium stainless .45 magazines.
